Community Midwives

Patients who have their pregnancy confirmed are referred to the midwives by the doctor. The midwives team visits the practice every Thursday morning when they hold an ante natal clinic which includes booking for the confinement. To make an appointment, phone 536 2009. A leaflet giving more information on ante/post natal care is available from reception.

Health Visitors

Telephone: 666 5171 The health visitors for the practice are based at Conan Doyle Medical Centre. They give advice on health care, particularly for pregnant mothers and young children. They are also responsible for childhood immunisations. Baby Clinics are held at Southside Community Centre on Wednesday afternoons, 2:00 till 3:00pm  The best time to contact the health visitor is between 8.30 and 10.00 a.m. weekdays on telephone number 666 5171. You may leave a message on their answering machine.
