IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS RELATED TO CORONAVIRUS, PLEASE FIRST REFER TO THE NHS INFORM WEBSITE NHSINFORM.SCOT
IF YOU REQUIRE FURTHER ADVICE OR NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS, PLEASE CONTACT 111.
PLEASE CALL US ON 0131 651 1000 FOR ALL OTHER MEDICAL ADVICE. WE ARE OPERATING A TELEPHONE TRIAGE SYSTEM. THE CALL HANDLER WILL ASK FOR DETAILS OF YOUR PROBLEM AND ARRANGE FOR A GP OR NURSE TO CALL YOU BACK.
DUE TO THE ONGOING CORONAVIRUS SITUATION WE ASK THAT YOU WEAR A FACE COVERING WHEN ATTENDING THE PRACTICE.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL NATIONAL SCREENING PROGRAMMES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED DURING THE CORONAVIRUS SITUATION.
This is a GP training practice. Qualified doctors who are specialising in General Practice after training in hospitals join our practice for 6 months and a year at a time and work as equal members of the medical staff.
In addition to everything you need to know about the practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side.
You can, of course, choose to see any of the doctors at the practice.
Your local pharmacist is also available and happy to give advice on some medical matters.
TEXTS TO YOU
We are now sending text messages to patients as a reminder that you have an appointment. You will be able to respond to the message to say 'CANCEL' which will save you calling us and will free up the appointment for another patient. Please ensure we have your current mobile phone number. If you wish to opt out of receiving a text, please drop us a note and we will remove you from the service.
Please let us know of any changes to your telephone numbers. You can do this using our check-in screen in our waiting area, speak to the receptionist or drop us a line.
DATA PROTECTION NOTICE
A copy of our Data Protection Notice is posted in or waiting areas and copies can be obtained from reception. Subject Access Request forms are also available from reception. Should you wish to have access to your medical records you should complete the SAR form and also provide two forms of ID, one of which must be photographic. We hope to make the forms available on the website in the near future.
WE ARE LGBT FRIENDLY
Here at Mackenzie Medical Centre, we are committed to ensuring people feel confident to use our services no matter who you are and we are committed to making sure all our patients feel supported and listened to.
