We have three practice nurses in the practice who work in their own treatment rooms. They have their own appointment system but may also see patients at the request of the doctors. Some appointments require joint appointments with a doctor and a nurse. Please let the receptionist know what your appointment is for (e.g. blood test, wound dressing etc.) in order to allot the appropriate amount of time. The senior practice nurse visits the housebound for chronic disease management. 

The work of the nurses includes:

• Phlebotomy
• Diet advice
• Wound care
• Ear Syringe
• Oral Contraception
• Coil (checks only) and cap checks
• Insertion and removal of contraception implants
• Emergency contraception
• Asthma follow-up
• Diabetic review
• Management of long term conditions
