Shared care and prescribing with private healthcare providers:
As a practice we have had issues with requests for participating in shared care and prescribing with private healthcare providers. These issues have included requests for tests or monitoring which may not be clinically appropriate or consistent with national NHS clinical guidance. We have also occasionally had difficulty contacting some private healthcare providers where issues have arisen during shared care. Therefore for patients’ safety we have decided not to routinely participate in shared care and prescribing with private healthcare providers. For further information or clarification, please discuss this with your usual General Practitioner.
Bridging prescriptions for hormonal therapy:
Due to recent patient safety concerns at the practice with respect to bridging prescriptions for hormonal therapy, we have taken the decision not to offer bridging prescriptions at our practice. For further information or clarification, please discuss this with your usual General Practitioner.
